Waiting for iOS 11? We are too, and as the rumor goes Apple’s OS this time will be a major improvement from the last one. The operating system will offer a ton of new features that include a smarter Siri as well as the much awaited Dark Mode. Both features are what fans have been waiting for a long, long time, and if indeed Apple will come with the feature, it’ll make the iOS the most powerful operating system in the history of Apple. And the rumor or speculation seem to be on track because of the fact that this year marks iPhone’s 10th anniversary and report is that the tech giant will be doing something tremendous this year to mark the occasion.
If you recall, the first iPhone was launched back in 2007 along with the first iOS, and since then the operating system has been extended to other Apple devices. The OS is currently the second most popular OS in the world right after Android, and the App Store has over 2 million applications out of which 1 million are native for iPads.
Speaking of the two most looked forward features that Apple is supposed to be bringing in its next OS that is the iOS 11 will be coming with a smarter Siri. Of course, this would be an attempt to step up its game especially because Samsung is now bringing Bixby, its home grew artificial intelligence. The virtual reality of Samsung called the Bixby was introduced alongside Samsung Galaxy S8, and S8+ in 2017 and critics and fans have all but been in praise for the new AI. As happy as we are about the improved Siri, there is another feature that we should be looking forwards is the Dark Mode or rather Night Mode and that is something that most fans are looking for.
The dark mode is something that had appeared in the beta version of the last OS and that had made the fan very excited, but unfortunately, the OS that came out in Apple’s September event was without the Dark Mode. So that fact that the iOS 11 could come with a Night Mode has made people really really excited, and the iOS 11 is something that a lot of us are looking forward to.
The iOS 11 is going to be compatible with the following Apple devices: iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPad Air 1, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and last but not the least iPod touch (sixth generation). As for now this is all that is known to us surrounding the iOS 11 but the fact is none of these have been confirmed by Apple and therefore should be taken with a pinch of salt until and unless the OS launches along with iPhone 7S or iPhone 8, whatever it is that’ll be launching in September 2017 at the yearly Apple event.
